Donate an Item
How do I donate an item for the Museum?

Many people have items which they believe have historical relevance to Zumbrota and would like to see these items displayed in the museum. For example, some recent donations which have been displayed are:

·        Old photographs of the town and/or businesses.

·        Commemorative items such as medallions, cups, and covered bridge memorabilia.

·        Items of clothing featuring period costumes such as dresses, suits, and hats.

·        Old postcards and personal correspondence that illustrate what was going on in a particular period. e.g. war, depression, roaring twenties, etc.

·        Items that feature agriculture such as farm implements, bills of sales, and pictures.

These are just a few of many possibilities! If you think you know of something that would be of general interest, call or write one of the board members shown on this website and describe the item. They will help you determine if the item can be displayed and how to best show it.

It is important to remember that due to space limitations not all items can be accepted as a donation. However an item(s) can be exhibited and then returned to the owner.
